Well, New York Mayor Bloomberg sure has an eye for assets. At an Upper East Side Christmas party last month, he is known to have gestured towards a woman in a very tight gown and said, "Look at the ass on her."
In a New York Magazine profile of New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, author Jonathan Van Meter recalled his meeting the mayor at the Christmas party and was amazed as well as shocked at the Mayor’s comments.
“Later in the evening, the host interrupted me to point out that the mayor himself had just arrived. Did I want to meet him? Sure,”he writes. “My friend and I followed the host over, shook Bloomberg’s hand, and my friend thanked him for his position on gun control. Without even acknowledging the comment, Bloomberg gestured toward a woman in a very tight floor-length gown standing nearby and said, ‘Look at the ass on her.’”
Christine Quinn herself explained Bloomberg as someone who takes keen interest on what people wear and how they look, recalling how he has on occasions advised her on footwear,“The mayor has no use for flat shoes,” as well as hairstyles.
“I was at a parade with him once,” Quinn explained, “and he said, ‘What are those?’ and I said, ‘They’re comfortable,’ and he said, ‘I never want to hear those words out of your mouth again.’”
Ah well, boys will be boys no matter what their social or political standing may be. The Bloomberg incident, however, has touched off an explosion of criticism online.

The funny part of the Bloomberg line is imagining everyone who was there idly trying to figure out whose ass it was this morning.— Katherine Miller (@katherinemiller) January 28, 2013
True that! Thinking along the same lines, the Daily News wants to get a hint at the mysterious derrière as well and has asked people for help!
