Children are one of the biggest casualties of conflicts. The civil war in Syria is no different.

According to UNHCR almost 52 per cent of the refugees in Syria are children aged 17 years or below. UNHCR announced only days ago that the number of Syrian child refugees had exceeded 1 million.

10-year-old Issa is one of the children affected by the civil war in Syria.

War has made his life take a leap from normalcy that defies human contemplation.
