Meet the Olinguito (olin-ghee-toe)... an adorable face with big eyes and soft brown fur. It's the newest mammal species to be discovered by scientists at the Smithsonian.
Scientist Kris Helgen discovered the rare mammal after tracking it for a decade.
The species are hard to spot because they move around at night and live in the deep forests of Colombia and Ecuador. But the Olinguito should not have been overlooked for long.
It turns out one was living at the Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington for a year, but was mistaken for another species.
