If you’ve got it, flaunt it! It is exactly what Jose Rodrigo Arechiga Gamboa – an infamous gangster from Mexico –did, but he’d tell you that this urban advice backfired tremendously for him.

Gamboa – who operates under the alias of ‘El Chino Antrax’ for Sinaloa Cartel – had amassed considerable wealth from his involvement in the Mexican drug business. Unfortunately for him, he loved showing off his fancy possessions on Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms, and rumor has it that this particular habit became the cause of his arrest in Amsterdam last Tuesday.

According to the International Business Times, law enforcement authorities used the pictures he has shared online to collect important information about him and eventually caught him based on their findings.

A quick glance at his Twitter account – which has more than 12,000 followers – would tell you that Gamboa has a taste for fancy things. From sports cars to expensive yachts to pretty ladies and designer guns, this guy had it all. He was basically living a criminal’s dream. But then he started posting visual proof of his ill-gotten gains online, and now he is behind bars.

Let’s take a look at what allegedly led to this stylish but dumb criminal’s apprehension.
