Olympic legend Michael Phelps, in his latest Under Armour ad, doesn’t speak a word, but his silence is powerful in this 90-second commercial.

Olympic swimming record breaker Michael Phelps' new commercial released on Tuesday is part of Under Armour’s campaign, “Rule Yourself” with the tagline: “It’s what you do in the dark that puts you in the light.”

A striking video posted on Monday however shows Phelps’s emotional reaction to his video, after he saw it for the first time. "Wow, that’s insane! It's cool, really cool,” he said as he wept.

On their way home for the holidays, Phelps and his fiancée Nicole stopped by the Under Armour Headquarters to visit founder Kevin Plank and his family. They got the chance to view the final campaign video, which soon reduced the couple to tears.

“I think being able now to not be afraid, and to understand everything what I’m doing, I think that commercial, I mean we were in tears, that commercial shows a lot of amazing things about me," Phelps said. “The world is going to see the real Michael Phelps and that’s what I’m excited about."

Baltimore native Phelps is a 22-time Olympic medalist. He has announced he will retire after the 2016 Olympics, if he qualifies to participate in the Rio Games. It would be a big comeback for Phelps, who faced a series of personal issues around a drunken driving arrest and rehab in recent years.
