Michele Bachmann is adamant that the Republicans will lose control if the immigration law passes and that congress needs to ‘spank’ Obama and snatch his ‘magic wand’ from his hands.
While speaking to WorldNetDaily she said, “I’m not crying wolf here. This is working for the president. It's not working for the American people, but, hey, it's great by him. He has a perpetual magic wand and nobody's given him a spanking yet and taken it out of his hand. That's what Congress needs to do -- give the president a major wake-up call. And the way we spank the president is we do it through the checkbook. We're the ones who say, 'No, you can't have the money.' What's wrong with us?”
The Minnesota Republican previously in a self-described melodramatic interview hinted that the amnesty bill would create a ‘permanent progressive democrat class’ in the country. She urged Americans to stand up against amnesty in order to repay the ancestors who sacrificed much to give them a free country to live in.
And she is not the only one. Republican and former Alaska governor Sarah Palin also voiced her opinion against the immigration bill last month in a Facebook post entitled ‘Holes in the Border As Big As the Holes in Their Amnesty Bill.’ You can read more about it here.
The highly debated landmark immigration reform bill, that would allow millions of undocumented immigrants to become citizens, was passed in the U.S. Senate on June 27 this year. But House Speaker Joe Boehner had made it clear in his address that a tough path lies ahead for the amnesty bill in the House of Representatives.
