Conservative radio host and political commentator Rusty Humphries invited Michele Bachmann for an interview sponsored by TheTeaParty.net. Among other things, Humphries asked Bachmann to comment on Miley Cyrus’ impersonation of her on ‘Saturday Night Live.’
Cyrus opened SNL last week with a pre-made parody video titled We Did Stop which featured the singer as a brand new avatar of Michelle Bachman!
“I have a good sense of humor and I never take that personally and I’ve probably been lampooned six or seven times on Saturday Night Live and that’s all done in good fun,” replied the Minnesota Republican.
This time, however, she said that some people actually thought it was Bachmann herself who appeared on SNL.
“What was kind of funny is the Monday after Saturday Night Live aired, we had a lot of calls in the office and people thought that actually was me in the skit.”
“I will tell you as a 57-year-old woman, it’s been a long time since I’ve been confused for a 20-year-old,” she said.
When Humphries asked Bachmann if she had ever tried to perform twerking, she responded, “No, no, I’ve never done twerking in my life and I don’t intend to take it up.”
