So, Michele Bachmann thinks (very loudly and vocally) that US that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton‘s top aid Huma Abedin has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Well, if that’s underhanded, then it reflects only on Ms. Bachmann and her flawed sensibilities.
Anderson Cooper has been very vocal against this unfounded claim of Michele Bachman against Huma Abedin. Well apparently quite afew people feel the same, including Republicans! House Speaker John Boehner, Sen. John McCain, Sen. Scott Brown and Sen. Marco Rubioare amongst them.
Apparently Michele Bachmann believes very strongly that there is an infiltration of the infamous Muslim Brotherhood infiltration in the U.S. government. She pointed at Huma Abedin being connected to the Brotherhood.
Senator John McCain went as far as to say that, "These allegations about Huma and the report from which they are drawn are nothing less than an unwarranted and unfounded attack on an honorable woman, a dedicated American and a loyal public servant,"
In her letter dated June 13th, Michele Bachmann alleged that members of Abedin's family, including her father who died two decades ago, and her mother and brother were linked to operatives or organizations of the Muslim Brotherhood.
There are speculations galore about Huma Abedin’s mother, Dr. Saleha Mahmood Abedin who is said to be one of the founding members of the Muslim Sisterhood, Muslim Brotherhood women’s group.
It seems her husband ex- Congressman Anthony Weiner’s bad luck has rubbed off on Huma as well. Just when the family was reeling back and getting back on it’s feet after Weiner’s humiliating sex scandal, Huma Abedin seems to be in the centre of this Bachmann initiated witch-hunt.
But she stood by Weiner in 2011 and it seems there are more than a score of people standing out for her, supporting her and not letting rumors spread about her. There’s even a Facebook pageup already supporting her against Bachmann.
