As the US Elections draw nearer, the Republican and Democrats up their game to ensure all communities vote in their favor. First Lady Michelle Obama talked to prominent Latinas and Latina Democrats about the immigration process and how her husband, the President is fighting for a more widespread immigration reform. The Latino voters’ main concern is the large number of deportations that happened under Obama’s administration.

The First Lady’s main priority being public service emphasizes the importance of the family unit and how measures will be taken to check that families are not broken due to deportations.  Using family as a key reason to re-elect the president, she contributes by telling the women ways to ensure their children’s’ physical and mental well-being by giving them the attention and care they deserve.

Everyone’s voice matters and it’s important to get one’s voice out there. She promises stronger health reform law and better education choices for people of all communities. Even in the United States, one of the most developed countries, issues with minorities may rise, but with good planning and strategies from the right administration, anything can be achieved.
