New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner addressed newly released sexually explicit photos during a news conference saying he will remain in the race.
Weiner resigned from the U.S. Congress in 2011 after admitting he used social media to send lewd pictures of himself to women he met online.
Tuesday's admission concerned chats and images from a gossip website that said Weiner had an online relationship with a woman in her 20's that began a year after he resigned.
Weiner's wife, who works for former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, stood next to her husband during the news conference.
The developments could complicate Weiner's campaign as the primaries are less than two months away.
