More Tar Balls Wash Ashore In Fla. Keys

More tar balls are washing ashore in Key West. A ranger was seen picking up several foul-smelling tar balls at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park on Tuesday afternoon, the largest about the size of a candy bar. Twenty tar balls found in Key West on Monday are being analyzed at a Coast Guard laboratory in Connecticut to determine if they were from the Gulf spill or elsewhere. Tar balls can occur naturally or come from other sources such as ships.
