President Donald Trump’s White house counselor Kellyanne Conway has successfully annoyed the hosts of MSNBC’s show “Morning Joe” with her alternative and swooning facts, that keep changing from time to time.
Journalists and the media representatives have been extremely patient with the Trump team, but Conway just lost all her credibility after defending President Trump’s National Security Adviser Mike Flynn saying that he had “the full confidence of the president” mere hours before his resignation.
Her stance was completely different from the White House administration’s stance pointing towards the fact that Flynn’s trust was eroding gradually since the past 13 days. The position of barring Conway from the show came after these contradictory statements.
Mika Brzezinski, who co-hosts the show with Joe Scarborough, banned Conway from appearing in their show in a segment highlighting the various differing messages that the media receives from the counselors end and the White House spokesman Sean Spicer.
“Joe was just saying that she books herself on these shows. We know for a fact she tries to book herself on this show," she said.
"I won't do it because I don't believe in fake news or information that isn't true. Every time I've ever seen her on television something's askew, off or incorrect," she commented, making it very clear that Conway was no longer welcomed on the program.
Scarborough backed Brzezinski's comment on Conway's credibility based on his own sources from within the White House.
"She's out of the loop," he said. "She's in none of the key meetings. She goes out and books herself often."
He said he felt bad for accusing her of lying, explaining that in fact she is always misinformed or not informed at all.
"I think it is equally as bad that a spokesperson in the White House actually goes out and makes things up. She's not briefed. So she'll go out like she did yesterday — she'll hear me say something about her, apparently this is what I've heard from inside the White House — and then she'll immediately start calling and she'll call people to go on TV and defend herself."
"She's just saying things to get in front of the TV set to prove her relevance because behind the scenes she's not in these meetings," he said. "And any reporter can ask anybody in that White House and they will say the same thing."
Brzezinski agreed and maintained her stance. “She's not credible anymore" she said.
"I will say, Kellyanne Conway does not need to text our show. At least as long as I'm on it. Because it's not happening here," she concluded.
She appeared rather exhausted and confused on Matt Lauer’s show earlier, where she insisted that Flynn stepped down on his own — though it had already become very clear that he had in fact lied to Vice President Mike Pence about a conversation he had in December with a Russian diplomat.
