Navajo Pushes For Female Rights

(Aljazeera) The Navajo, the largest native American tribe in the US, is set to launch its own presidential election on Tuesday.

In a break from tradition and move towards reform, there is a high possibility that Lynda Lovejoy, a Navajo candidate, will become the the tribe's first female president.

Many have high hopes that she will tackle serious domestic violence and sexual abuse against women.
