Devi Budhathoki from Nepal and three of her children suffer from a rare genetic condition that causes large amounts of thick hair to grow on their bodies.

Congenital Hypertrichosis Lanuginosa, commonly known as “Werewolf Syndrome,” cannot be cured but its symptoms can be reduced by laser hair removal.

Reuters’ photographer Navesh Chitrakar prepared a photo-blog to show what it’s for the poverty-stricken family to live with the condition and the laser treatment they underwent to reduce the excessive hair growth.
