New York Police Officer Shot And Killed A Man Due To Road Rage

A New York police officer was off-duty when he shot and killed Delron Dempsey after he attacked him in a road rage incident in traffic.

An off-duty police officer in Brooklyn, New York fatally shot an unknown man during a road rage argument in traffic this morning.

37-year-old Delron Dempsey punched the officer through his car window after the dispute, in which the cop then shot and killed the man, according to The Daily Beast

The officer was taken to a local hospital and didn't have any major injuries, while Dempsey got in an argument with was pronounced dead shortly after the fatal shooting, the Associated Press reported.

Dempsey and the officer were stopped at a red light in traffic when the man approached the officer, argued with him and began repeatedly punching the officer in the head.

The physical altercation that Dempsey had started led the officer to defending himself in return by killing Dempsey, according to NBC New York

The incident is still being held under close investigation.
