This very revealing video shows an interview William Binney, whistleblower and former National Security Agency (NSA) crypto-mathematician conducted by Russia Today. The interview is full of revelations detailing how the NSA has spied on US citizens since 9/11.
He worked for the Defense Department's foreign signals intelligence agency for 32 years but resigned in late 2001 because he "could not stay after the NSA began purposefully violating the Constitution.”
In the interview, Binney explains how the agency took part of one of the programs he built and started using it to spy on virtually every U.S. citizen without warrants under the code-name Stellar Wind.
According to Wikipedia, an electronic surveillance program, whose actual name is currently unknown, was implemented by the NSA after September 11, 2001 as part of the president's Surveillance Program. In 2005 the New York Times disclosed that, ‘Months after the Sept. 11 attacks, President Bush secretly authorized the National Security Agency to eavesdrop on Americans and others inside the United States to search for evidence of terrorist activity without the court-approved warrants ordinarily required for domestic spying, according to government officials.’
In the candid interview, Binney detailed how the top-secret surveillance program can track electronic activities—phone calls, emails, banking and travel records, social media—and map them to collect data on people.
Now that is serious matter!
In Binney’s words, "The FBI has access to the data collected, which is basically the emails of virtually everybody in the country, and the FBI has access to it. All the congressional members are under surveillance too, no one is excluded. They're all included. Yes, this can happen to anyone, if they are targeted for whatever reason."
