Crude oil leaked from a pipeline in the Gulf of Thailand over the weekend has reached a Thai tourist resort. Black waves of crude oil washed up on the beach at popular tourist island on Monday despite continuous attempts to clean up the oil.

Crude oil leaked from a pipeline in the Gulf of Thailand over the weekend has reached a Thai tourist resort. Black waves of crude oil washed up on the beach at popular tourist island on Monday despite continuous attempts to clean up the oil.
 
"An oil slick has reached Ao Prao beach on Koh Samet island," pipeline operator PTT Global Chemical Pcl said.
