One Dead, Six Hurt in School Blast in Southern Italy

A bomb went off in front of a school in the southern Italian city of Brindisi on Saturday, killing one student and injuring six as they were going into class, a local emergency official said.

According to the Internet site of the daily Repubblica, two blasts went off in front of the Morvillo Falcone vocational school, spreading panic among the pupils. The devices had apparently been left in bags in front of the school.
