At this point, the so-called “patriot” group forcibly occupying a federal building in Oregon will do anything to attract attention.
Pete Santilli, conservative radio host and spokesman of Ammon Bundy’s militia, branded a 15-year-old girl a “prostitute” for crying at a town hall meeting.
Earlier this week, Judge Steven Grasty’s granddaughter, Ashlie Presley, broke down in tears while explaining how, due to the armed takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, the entire community is living in fear.
“I should not have to be scared in my own hometown,” Presley said. “I know that all of my friends have been scared and have come to me to know what to do.”
The heart-felt statement, of course, disgruntled the militiamen. So, as a response, Santilli insulted Judge Grasty and Presley, saying the judge had turned his granddaughter into a “prostitute.”
“That judge was prostituting his granddaughter for political purposes,” he spat out. “I’m going to call it for what it is. If it were my granddaughter, I would not treat her like a prostitute like he did.”
And as if this wasn’t offensive enough, Santilli referred to all his opponents as a “bunch of effing communists” and even threatened Grasty.
“The only reason that anyone needs to be fearful about what’s going on around here are the corrupt bastards like her grandfather,” he continued. “He needs to be fearful because we’re going to investigate and we’re going to bring some justice to a judge.”
Apart from the staggering amount of money these so-called protesters are costing the government, these men have proved, now, on multiple occasions that they are a threat to the society who will go after anyone and everyone who dares to criticize them.
It’s about time the authorities realized this.
