Paula Broadwell, the woman whose alleged affair with CIA director David Petraeus, led to his resignation, author of a biography of General David Petraeus called ‘All In’.

Earlier this year, the married mother of two spoke with Jon Stewart host of Comedy Central's The Daily Show, "I have a detail to share with you. He can turn water into bottled water."

Broadwell met Petraeus in 2006, when she was a soldier-turned-graduate student at Harvard University. Petraeus offered his help and four years later she was in Afghanistan turning a dissertation about his leadership into a book. That relationship is now at the center of a scandal that ended Petraeus' tenure as Director of the CIA and tarnished his reputation.

His resignation comes after an FBI investigation into a complaint about Broadwell turned up emails pointing to an extramarital affair between the writer and the general.

The 60-year old general, married for 37 years to Holly Petraeus, resigned on Friday.

In the acknowledgments of her book Broadwell thanked Petraeus for a "once-in-a lifetime" education and gave "special thanks" to his wife Holly.
