As Japan released the master recording of the speech that marked its surrender in the WWII, fascinating images, hitherto-unrevealed, have also surfaced.
The images show the bunker where Emperor Hirohito of Japan hid during the World War II, and from where he made the surrender speech that ended the horrific war.
The photos show the room where the surrender was agreed upon ...
... as well as the room where the actual speech was made.
This speech was met with tears in the country, where Japanese people knelt in reverence to the speaker.
Aug. 15 marks the 70th anniversary since the Allies' victory over Japan and the end of WWII.
