A mass melee between the members of the ruling AK party and main opposition People's Republican Party erupted in the Turkish parliament on Saturday.

The disagreement began because AK party – whose chairman Recep Tayyip Erdo?an is the incumbent Prime Minister of the country – had recently presented a controversial draft bill that is aimed at increasing their control over the judiciary.

Unhappy by the government’s decision, the judiciary filed a petition that branded the bill unconstitutional. Its legality was supposed to be discussed in the parliament, but the AK Party sidestepped the issue, enraging the opposition members.

What had initially begun as just a heated argument, soon turned into a mass brawl, and a lot of pushing and shoving took place. Thankfully, no punches were thrown; at least not when the cameras were still rolling.

Check out the said brawl in the video posted above.
