Do you remember that awkward moment from last year’s Angelus prayer when Pope Benedict XVI released two white doves into St. Peter's Square which were immediately attacked by a seagull?

Well, it has happened again, this time – of course – with Pope Francis.

A dove representing peace and reconciliation was attacked on Sunday morning, according to Reuters, by a vicious seagull and a crow after it was released by two children standing alongside the Holy Father.

The incident occurred right after Pope Francis addressed a crowd in St. Peter's Square, calling for dialogue in Ukraine.
