Post-Blizzard Clean Up Underway On Long Island Expressway (Video)


Efforts are underway to clear snow from the Long Island Expressway after a powerful blizzard left cars stranded as it hammered the U.S. Northeast.

Officials shut down a 27 mile stretch of the Long Island Expressway early Sunday morning to allow snow plows to clear the road.

The mammoth storm stretched from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic and covered several spots in the Northeast with more than 3 feet of snow. Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts took the brunt of the blizzard.
