Queen Noor On Muslim Brotherhood

Piers Morgan hosted Queen Noor of Jordan on his prime time exclusive last night. She talked about Egypt along with other subjects. Earlier Newt Gingrich criticized Obama’s administration approach to the political crisis in Egypt. He voiced his concerns that the U.S. might reach out to the Muslim Brotherhood.

“the Muslim Brotherhood is a mortal enemy [of the Western Civilization.]” – Newt Gingrich

When Morgan mentioned Gingrich’s comment Queen Noor responded in support of the Muslim Brotherhood.

"Most Arabs are moderate peaceful centrists…The Muslim Brotherhood are one of many groups throughout the region that have points of view that need to come to the table." – Queen Noor

She went on to blame the U.S. military aid for the turmoil that took place in Egypt. She stated that it barely took the social fabric of the country into account. In another interview she also indicated that Jordan was very far from being a Democratic nation and the recent revolt against Queen Rania was a positive first step.

Queen Noor of Jordan appeared in a prime time exclusive with Piers Morgan tonight to talk Egypt and more. She spoke specifically about the Muslim Brotherhood. "Most Arabs are moderate peaceful centrists," she said. "The Muslim Brotherhood are one of many groups throughout the region that have points of view that need to come to the table." These comments came as a response to what Newt Gingrich said about the Brotherhood today.

Piers asked about the political rhetoric here in America as well. "The extremes on both sides are very unhelpful," she said.
