A resident of Henderson, Nevada, was caught on a cell phone camera going on a racist rant against some construction workers outside his home.
Apparently, a loud beeping noise coming from the construction site aggravated the man, prompting him to come out of his house and unleash a tirade of hate speech against the crew, some of who were non-whites.
In addition to calling the construction workers derogatory names, the tamest of which was “wetback,” the racist man also demanded they show him their passports.
“Let me see your proof of citizenship!” the man said in the video. “I hope Trump wins and deports every one of those illegals.”
He also pushed a member of the construction crew, according to one of the workers.
The video was captured by one of the workers, Jorge Tally, who is Hispanic and recently started on the job.
“I get out and work for my family, for my kids,” he said in an interview with Fox 5. “We were immigrants, we were illegals, we were wetbacks, all the trash.”
A Fox 5 news reporter also visited the man for a comment.
“Just by looking at them you know god damn well they’re illegals, and the guy didn’t deny it,” the man told him.
However, when Tally’s immigration status was investigated, it was found out that he is a permanent resident of the country and is working legally.
From his words, it sounded like the man was a Trump supporter and his racist rhetoric stemmed from what has been dubbed the “Trump Effect.”
The GOP presidential nominee has made incendiary remarks about undocumented immigrants, labeling Mexicans as “drug pushers” and “rapists” throughout his campaign. He has announced the creation of a new “deportation force” if he becomes president that would force 11 million people to leave the country if their documents are not in order.
Trump’s rhetoric is spreading across America and this Nevada man is just one example of people who are starting to think like the presidential candidate.
