Rick Santorum was vying for a chance to prove himself as the Republican nominee for the 2012 Presidential elections and took the race to Janesville, Wisconsin. ‘This race is about who we are’, said Santorum, perhaps unaware of the irony which waited for him.

There are things that bring us together…there are things that bind us,” Santorum said, speaking how despite their differences, Americans shared a common bond. A bond, which he later added, President Obama seeks to retain in order to keep Americans divided. “He takes the opportunity to divide us…to remind us of our differences,” Santorum said.

However what happened at 34:25 is likely to resonate with a lot of Americans and would eventually; cost the Presidency hopeful, his dream.

"We know, we know the candidate Barack Obama, what he was like. The anti-war government nig- uh, the uh America was a source for division around the world."

Did Rick Santorum almost use the N word? You be the judge

Some of the spin doctors are saying Santorum was about to say ‘negotiator’, but from the slip up and the subsequent horrified look, and how Santorum completely gives up the sentence and starts another is a dead giveaway on what he was going to say. There might be no coming back for Rick Santorum after this.

The lights of freedom may very well go out if we don’t win this election,” Santorum told the Republican crowd gathered at Janesville, Wisconsin, earlier. Adding in that this election is the most important in the nation’s history, completely forgetting that the American history is based on equality and freedom. For Rick Santorum’s Presidential dreams, from the looks of this, the light has certainly gone out.
