San Jose State was on lockdown for about two hours today after a gunman was spotted on campus. Police created a perimeter around Sweeney Hall, and students and teachers stayed in their classrooms until the lockdown was lifted. No gunman was found.
What was not on lockdown were the phones of San Jose State students. They provided a running stream of images and commentary from both inside and outside the lockdown area.

The lockdown has been lifted, but San Jose State is still on high alert. We will update this story with any new developments.
