A staffer at a Toulouse scooter store proved to be a lead in search of the gunman suspected of the Toulouse killings.
The salesmen remember the suspect Mohamed Merha because of his odd questions at the time of the purchase of the scooter. He wanted information about deactivating the GPS tracker on the vehicle. He has also mentioned repainting it.
It is to be noted that the killer used a scooter to flee the scene after the shootings. It didn’t take the scooter salesmen to add two and two and offer information to the police. Merha claims to have accepted the responsibility for the bloodshed saying he did it for al Qaeda and had every intention of continuing with such acts had he not been caught.
