Shanghai right now is pretty much living under a massive cloud of hazardous smog.
Reports of heavy pollution were circulating around since Monday but on Friday Shanghai’s smog levels hit record-breaking highs. The air quality level of the city exceeded the maximum of 500 while levels above 300 are considered hazardous!
Shanghai’s skyline can be visibly seen covered with a thick dangerous haze of smog. The city is literally choking under severe pollution, making it difficult for the citizens to even breathe properly.
Visibility in the acrid smog has been cut to 50 meters, flights have been delayed and 30% of government cars are pulled off from the roads. Children are ordered to stay indoors.
