Los Angeles billboard featuring a US soldier and a Muslim woman in hijab has managed to capture every ones attention.
The soldier is seen embracing the woman, between the Twitter hashtag #betogether and the slogan "Keeping you together".
The Ad is obviously turning heads and its meaning is left open to interpretation. But its prime meaning according to SnoreStop, a California company that sells anti-snoring oral and nasal sprays and tablets, is to keep couples together.
According to some observers, the controversial billboard is exploiting the image of a US serviceman to sell an unrelated product.
SnoreStop spokeswoman Melody Devemark reportedly agreed that the advertisement is shocking.
"We want to show couples that you normally don't see in advertising."
However, Devemark disagreed that the Ad is misusing the image of military soldiers.
"People feel that we are trying to misuse the image of military servicemen. I think they don't understand that there are couples like this that do exist."
It’s been reported that the sleep aid campaign was inspired by a real-life veteran named Jamie Sutton and his wife, Aleah.
SnoreStop is planning to enlarge the campaign and more such billboards will be seen soon in San Diego, Houston, New York and other cities.
