Snow blanketed much of the Middle East during the past week in a freak snow storm? War torn Syria,  where millions of people are living in refugee camps and  war-ridden cities wasn’t spared as well. Not used to such severe weather conditions, much of the Middle Eastern region was caught unawares and unprepared.

Roads were blocked and thousands of people were trapped in their homes, while the refugees languished under an open sky at the mercy of the elements.

The bad weather which began on Wednesday, is taking a toll on the 2.3 million refugees living outside Syria and the 6.5 million people displaced within the country.

However, snow is snow and people enjoy it all over the world. The people in Syria are no different and for a brief time it seemed, they forgot their woes and just lived for the moment.
