A fearless protester was arrested for throwing tomatoes at Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Iowa on Tuesday night, in a move social media rightfully recognized as a true act of heroism.

Andrew Joseph Alemao was arrested by University of Iowa police after allegedly throwing two tomatoes at the Republican presidential front-runner. He is being held at Johnson County Jail under misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and could face 30 days in jail if convicted.

Unfortunately, the courageous 28-year-old just missed the candidate. The remnants of his gallant deed are pictured below.

The produce was thrown immediately after Trump called Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders a communist.

Another protester — not to be confused with Alemao — was wearing a shirt with the words “Heil Trumpler” written across it and was also ejected from the event.

Trump’s rally was packed to the brim with supporters and protesters alike. Thankfully, the real estate mogul had to end his speech early due to ceaseless disruptions from protesters.

While Alemao awaits his criminal fate, social media is praising him for his gutsy and necessary action against the bad joke of a candidate.
