Talk about the evils of technology! It's official: The robots are coming for us.

A South Korean woman’s slumber was tragically disturbed when her robot vacuum tried to eat up her hair, thinking it was dust that needed cleaning.

The anonymous woman, a 52-year-old resident of Changwon city, was leisurely enjoying her sleep on the floor, which is a common practice in many Asian households, only to be woken up by the agonizing pain of her hair being pulled by her formerly trusted cleaning appliance.

Being unable to grasp free of its tyrannical robotic hold, the woman had no choice but to call the fire department. With the help of the heroic paramedics, she was soon freed from the clutches of the robot vacuum.

Just like when Will Smith battled the antagonists in the Hollywood film I, Robot, the day is coming, perhaps, when technology creeps up on us and shows the human race its darker, more controlling hair-eating alter ego.
