Bill Clinton is finally on Twitter and who we need to thank for that? None other than Stephen Colbert.
Colbert interviewed Clinton over the weekend at his annual meeting for the Clinton Global Initiative which was broadcasted on Monday as a special episode of The Colbert Report on Comedy Central.
When Colbert asked the former president why he doesn't tweet, Clinton explained that he's "sort of insecure."
Colbert while convincing the president to set up an account took the matter literally in his own hands and set up an account for Clinton himself.
Its bio states:
“Well, sir, I took the liberty of opening you a Twitter account. Now @presidentclinton was taken, @williamjeffersonclinton was taken, but @prezbillyjeffwas available,” Colbert said.
