Egypt has been devastated by clashes between the Muslim Brotherhood and the military. The clashes left the streets of Cairo reddened by streams of blood and littered with the dead and wounded.
Each side blames the other. The military said it opened fire in response to an attack by armed assailants and protesters said the shooting started as they were performing morning prayers. Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood movement has called for more protests on Tuesday, raising the risk of further violence.
Emergency services estimate over 435 people wounded.
