Suspected Bank Robber Returns And Interrupts A Live News Broadcast

In an ironic yet hilarious turn of events, an Iowa TV reporter was interrupted during a live broadcast by a bank robber on the run who had returned to the scene of his crime.

Iowa TV reporter Adam Sallet actually became a witness to the very crime he was reporting about when a suspected bank robber ran past him during his live broadcast.

Sallet was in Rochester reporting about a bank robbery that had happened 24 hours prior, except the culprit apparently didn’t get enough the first time because he came back to rob the bank again.

A bank employee ran out during the broadcast and as he came toward Sallet, he yelled, “That’s the guy right there! That’s the robber!”

Although the situation was very serious, Sallet's reaction was hilarious. He was clearly perplexed and became visibly flustered upon realizing what was happening.

"What? Oh, that's the robber?" Sallet reiterates. "Uh, this is live TV, folks. That's the robber that just went by."

Sallet then signed off abruptly so he could call 911.

The station later reported that the 36-year-old suspected robber was arrested after allegedly trying to rob the Rochester bank again. He previously escaped police after an attempted robbery of the bank on Monday.

You have to see it to believe it! Sallet’s puzzled reaction was so genuine that he deserves an Academy Award if it turns out the scenario was staged.

There are two clips from the broadcast, one in which you can't see the robber, only Sallet's reaction and the other shows when the robber entered the bank before the broadcast actually began.
