Two Syrian boys cling to each other as they mourn the loss of their brother, who died in an airstrike in Syria.
Shocking footage, posted by Aleppo Media Center, shows the children overcome with grief after hearing their brother was killed in the horrific barrel bombing in Aleppo on Wednesday, which left 15 people dead.
The brothers wrap their arms each other and lament the loss of their sibling after they were taken to a hospital.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a U.K.-based organization, also said four women were also killed in Wednesday's bombing in the rebel-held neighborhood of Bab al-Nayrab.
The Syrian regime has been accused of using the controversial barrel bombs, which because of their poor accuracy have resulted in a huge amount of devastation and indiscriminate loss of life in areas that are home to civilians.
The video shows only a single glimpse of the horrors faced by children in war-torn Syria. Just last week, the tragic image of 5-year-old Omran Daqneesh, who was rescued from the rubbles of a building following a similar airstrike, made headlines. Little Omran also lost a brother to the war and his families suffered multiple injuries.
The shocking video of the little dust-covered boy incited a call for ceasefire by diplomatic figures. The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon warned of an unprecedented humanitarian “catastrophe” in Aleppo and urged the United States and Russia to cease their power play and reach a deal to cease fire in the country.
