Syrian Rebels Down Jet Fighter (Video)

Syrian rebels claim to have shot down a government jet fighter as refugees express pessimism over United Nation Security Council. The video shows a parachute spotted by Syrian rebels in the western province of Idlib, where the Syrian rebels claim to have shot down a fighter jet.

There is no end in sight to Syria's brutal uprising pitting rebels and government forces against one another across the country. Refugees in this Turkish camp want Bashar al-Assad to step down, but are skeptical that the United Nations Security Council will make that happen.

The refugees say they've reason to be pessimistic. Several security council directives have been stymied by opposition from China and Russia in the last 15 months.

There has also been little action on plans to enforce a safe haven in Syria for rebels and those seeking shelter from the violence.

At least 200,000 and as many as 300,000 people have so far fled the country which has seen brutal fighting in the last couple of months.
