Politics can get ugly fast, but every election season, there are a slew of unintentionally hilarious political ads. And now, the 2014 election has its first beauty. It’s called Turtle Soup.

Politics can get ugly fast, but every election season, there are a slew of unintentionally hilarious political ads. And now, the 2014 election has its first beauty. It’s called Turtle Soup.

Dwayne Stovall is running for U.S. Senate in Texas as a Republican primary challenger to John Cornyn. The Tea Party has run candidates against all sorts of Republican incumbents, and it almost doesn’t matter how conservative that Republican is. By most rankings, Cornyn is the second or third most conservative member of the Senate. But who cares! He supports someone who "looks and fights like a turtle!"

Oh, and let’s not forget the bizarre, “Just so you know,” that streams by in the last few seconds of the ad. It’s like a tagline for a 90s game show.

If politics seems like an unpleasant mess with nothing enjoyable about it, may I suggest you check out some of its unintentionally hilarious ads. If you were encouraged by "Turtle Soup," try googling "Demon Sheep."
