A teacher's aide was arrested this week after video surfaced of her hitting a 9-year-old special education student in the head while two students held him in place.

The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, was posted via Snapchat by another employee that works at the school, Tobinworld II.

A friend of the employee that posted the video was so disturbed she went straight to the principle.

“This is the third time this kind of thing has been recorded by him,” the friend told the Contra Costa Times. “It was so unbearable to watch, I had to do something about it.”

Thoroughly disturbed by the video as well, executive director Judy Weber-Israel said in a statement, "We immediately suspended the staff involved, called Children and Family Services and notified the Antioch police. The student in the video returned to school [Wednesday], uninjured, and has been in class all day.”

The 26-year-old teacher's aide, Kamaljot Kaur, who is seen striking the student in the video, was arrested on Wednesday for suspicion of felony child abuse.

"After conducting interviews and reviewing the cellphone recording of the incident, officers determined that a felony child abuse had occurred," Antioch police Cpl. Powell Meads said.

Thankfully, the boy "did not have any visible injuries or complaints of pain," according to Antioch police.

The woman who captured the videos is glad that the incident is being taken seriously.

"I had to shut that down. That was not cool," she said. "I'm praying something good comes out of this."
