Moments before an on-camera interview on high school bullying, the teenager from Maryland named Preston Deener was bullied by three other boys outside Brunswick High School. So along with an interview on his experience of being bullied, WHAG TV got a live demonstration as well. ‘The student came up to me and pushed me out of the way and said 'What are you recording?' , Preston told WHAG.
“All of a sudden the student was chasing me and I needed some help." One boy chased Preston away, forcing him to run onto inside the school where he was safe. After all the mess and havoc he was finally able to give his interview. He recalled an incident last week when he was suspended from school for fighting against another bully who tackled him.
However, this time Preston did not repeat the same mistake and directly reported to the school about the bullying incident. According to Preston he has been a victim of bullying, including cyber bullying, for years.
His mother Cheryl Deener hopes the recent incident caught on video will help the school district to take strict action against the bully. She has also started a Facebook page named Stop Bullies! Support Preston Deener in support of her son as well as for other parents of bullied teens to share their support and ideas.
