Teen On Parole Gets 2 Seconds Of Fame For Playing Catch With Police

A 19-year old led police on a wild goose chase – on social media.

Logan Rhys James is a 19-year-old who’s got a lot of spunk . He’s on parole and recently challenged the Gwent Police Department in Wales to an amusing game of “catch me if you can.”

On the unlucky day of Friday the 13th, the police appealed to their Facebook followers for help.

But lo and behold, James was willing to give them a shout out by commenting on the very post announcing that he was a wanted man.

He clearly attracted a lot of attention – at least if the number of “likes” is any indication.

Eventually, it seems like his two seconds of fame got to his head. And his spelling.

"They are not going to be able to catch me – I won't let them. They have been round my mum's house four times a day but I'll be out for at least a month or two before they get me,” he told a news agency via a mobile phone interview.

His arrest came in July, when he received an eight-month sentence for wounding an opponent during a scuffle, common assault and being in possession of a knife.

But thanks to his over confidence, he was caught before the weekend was over.

James remains in the custody of the police for breaching his parole.
