If this video wasn’t so funny, it would be sad! An 18-year-old Penelope Soto from Miami was in bond court accused of possession of Xanax bars.
She totally upset the judge during questioning by her giggling and flippant attitude. Circuit Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat told her, "We're not in a club, be serious about it." Soto said she was being serious.
When asked if she was under influence, she stroked her hair repeatedly, looking quite dubiously smug and replied, “Actually, no.”
The judge ordered her held on $5,000 bond. Receiving her verdict she sauntered away calling out a jaunty “Adios.”
Judge Jorge, clearly offended, asked her to come back and increased her bond to $10,000. This obviously put Soto in a bad mood; she stopped giggling and became quite serious and flipped off the judge as she walked away.
She was asked to come back again and asked, “Did you tell me to *&^%& off?”
“Yes sir,”came the reply and promptly landed her in a bigger hole than she had already dug for herself. The judge ordered her held in contempt of court and to be sentenced for 30 days in the county jail.
