Well it appears that Pat Robertson has brought us another gem.

The guy who had earlier called the tornadoes a ‘sign of end times’ appeared on CBN’s 700 Club and made sure he turns into another viral sensation. Pat Robertson is famous for saying that the 2010 Haiti earthquake happened because the Haitian people allegedly made a ‘pact to the devil’.

This time around, he says that the tornadoes that have ravaged some pretty big parts of the country are not a malicious act of God, rather it is the people’s fault. Yes, that’s really what he asked the victims, ‘Why did you build houses where tornadoes were apt to happen?’ he asked. The recent tornadoes have killed at least 39 people injuring over dozens as well as destroying millions of dollars worth of property.

That wasn’t all though. Robertson went on to say that had the people prayed for divine intervention, the tornadoes would never have happened. ‘If enough people were praying He would’ve intervened, you could pray, Jesus stilled the storm, you can still storms.’ He also went on to add that those people who lived in disaster prone areas are to be held responsible for the disasters that befall them. It is, ‘their fault, not God’s.’
