Mixed feelings in Newtown, Connecticut as the Sandy Hook Elementary school comes down, the site of last year's mass shooting that claimed 26 lives.
The town required workers handling the tear down to sign agreements banning them from discussing any aspect of the work.
Town officials hope the demolition will be complete by the one-year anniversary of the attack on December 14.
The massacre by 20-year-old gunman Adam Lanza, was one of the worst school shootings in U.S. history. The attack led to stricter gun laws in Connecticut and New York.
The new school is expected to open by December 2016.
