Certain professions are more in demand than others. Here's how to get that big signing bonus.

Job search engine Indeed.com and career exploration site O*Net Online teamed up to uncover the 10 occupations hiring the most people in the United States.

“All job seekers can benefit from keeping an eye on which industries are experiencing rapid growth as it provides them with a snapshot of opportunities for them in the job market, and strategically inform career decisions,” said Daniel Culbertson, a lab analyst at Indeed.com.

Here are the top 10 jobs which, according to online data, are the fields with the most vacancies.

1) Registered Nurses

Topping the list for a second year in a row, this job currently has around 230,000 openings. Apply now!

2) Truck Drivers, Heavy and Tractor-Trailer

In an economy that relies heavily on transported goods, it’s no surprise that the second most available job in the market is for truck drivers. 220,000 openings for this have been posted online.

3) Customer Service Representatives

These people work round the clock to handle customer complaints, process orders and provide information about a company's products and services. 122,306 job ads of this nature have been posted online.

4) Sales Managers

With 100,822 vacancies, these guys probably go hand-in-hand with customer service representatives.

7) First-Line Supervisors/Managers of Retail Sales Workers

There are 72,052 jobs available in this field.

8) General and Operations Managers

There are around 60,434 positions to be filled. The job description usually entails formulating policies and managing the daily operations of a company. However, it differs from company to company.

9) All Other Managers

Obviously, managerial positions would be less available, with only 58,657 reported vacancies.

10) Child Care Workers

On the rise of the need for child care, Culbertson said, “This is likely a function of the improving economy and also promising for all job seekers. As more job seekers get hired, the demand for talent to help care for children in homes or childcare facilities tends to increase.” The reported numbers of job openings for this are 49,505.

After highlighting all of these job openings, Indeed.com has also said that these numbers do not reflect a precise number, which makes sense because the job market is constantly changing. However, the general idea of the list paints a pretty picture for people seeking employment.
