This Proves Palestine Existed Long Before Israel

“There Was No Palestine” trend proves there was a Palestine before 1967.

Former Israeli Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Danny Ayalon claimed in a YouTube video that in 1967 – and even before that time – there was neither an Arab nation nor state by the name of Palestine.

The video, though uploaded in 2011, just received the attention of internet users, many of whom vehemently opposed the argument.

To prove that Palestine existed long before Israel was created in 1948, prominent Egyptian novelist Ahdaf Soueif started the hashtag “there_was_no_Palestine.”

Soueif asked users to contribute pictures of life in Palestine before the 1948 Palestinian exodus, when hundreds of thousands Palestinian Arabs fled or were expelled from their homes.
