Just when you thought books couldn't be more important...

Scientists at Carnegie Mellon and the University of Virginia may have discovered a way to save the lives of over 3 million people who die from water-related diseases. They've partnered with a foundation called Water is Life to produce and distribute what they're calling "the drinkable book."

The book's pages are made of water-filtering paper, and the cover is a receptacle for filtering water through. In addition, each page of the book is printed with facts about safe water habits.

Books have always been the first step in a revolution.  This book is a huge leap.
