The Syria conflict was blanketing the news a few months ago, after the horrific chemical attack and the U.S. debate over a military strike, but now attention has moved on to the Ukraine (with a passing glance to Venezuela, which is also in upheaval). We have the luxury of forgetting about these conflicts because they generally don’t have a direct impact on our lives. How would we feel if it was all a little closer to home?
This brilliant video from Save the Children UK takes the “one second a day” motif, which is starting to become the new “photo a day,” and uses that to show how quickly life can turn:
